  • New partnership empowers independent schools with AI-driven mental health risk factor identification tools.
  • BrainDash’s prevention-first approach helps educators shift from crisis response to proactive mental health support.
  • Independent school leaders invited to join the BrainDash Product Advisory Board to help shape the future of student mental wellness.

Richmond, VA – March 4, 2025 – With student mental health reaching crisis levels nationwide, BrainDash™ has announced a strategic partnership with the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS). This collaboration will pioneer a proactive approach to mental wellness in schools through BrainDash's evidence-based platform that provides early warning detection for established mental health risk factors.

As the first school-wide mental health solution of its kind, BrainDash utilizes clinically validated screening and AI-driven analytics within a robust, security-focused framework designed to meet educational privacy standards. The platform provides school leaders with real-time insights and early intervention strategies while maintaining the highest levels of data protection. Through this partnership, an initial rollout with select VAIS member schools will create a model for scalable prevention programs across independent educational institutions, equipping educators with data-driven tools to detect and address potential issues before they escalate.

A Shared Commitment to Supporting Kids’ Well-Being

“The mental health crisis in schools demands urgent, forward-thinking solutions,” said Todd Feldman, Founder and CEO of BrainDash. “By working with VAIS, we are ensuring that families and kids have access to cutting-edge tools that don’t just react to crises but help prevent them. Together, we are reshaping how student mental wellness is managed.”

VAIS has long been committed to school community well-being through its annual Safe & Healthy Schools Conference and cultivating resources and support for its member schools.

“One of our core values at VAIS is community—supporting our schools as they foster a sense of belonging for every student,” said Betsy Johnson, Executive Director of VAIS. “Through this partnership with BrainDash, we are providing schools with innovative tools to strengthen student wellness and take a proactive approach to mental health prevention.”

As part of this initiative, BrainDash and VAIS are encouraging independent school leaders to participate in the BrainDash Product Advisory Board (PAB), a collaborative group of educators helping to shape the future of student mental wellness in schools. Members of the PAB will gain early access to BrainDash’s AI-driven early warning system for established mental health risk factors and help guide real-world implementation strategies for independent schools..

“School administrators and educators play a vital role in shaping how we support kids’ well-being,” said Feldman. “The BrainDash Product Advisory Board provides a unique opportunity for school leaders to be at the forefront of innovation in mental health prevention.”
